Information security and data protection are not the classical core competence of the automotive industry. With the growth of networking in the vehicle, data security and ownership issues are increasingly to the fore. The advanced wireless Car2X functions mean that security against attacks from outside the vehicle can be of vital importance. Encryption and various protection mechanisms against hacker attacks are therefore an essential component of all software developments from trive.me.
For this purpose, we combine concepts from the automobile industry such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety - Road Vehicles) with fundamental concepts from the field of IT security.
The technological complexity of the market is reflected in the diversity of our developers and designers. Based on Car2X Communication, we integrate data from vehicle, wearables and smart devices into the overall system. Integration into the digital ecosystem enables seamless transition of the service provision and flexible control by the user (e.g. payment processes or subsequent pedestrian navigation) as well as advanced eCall functions through the transmission of temperature, blood sugar or heart rate.
Together with 1,500 engineers in the E/E development division at EDAG, we have been part of automotive software development for decades. We know what it takes to introduce new features into the vehicle while taking account of the needs of development cycles and existing system architecture and bus system concepts, such as CAN, and their protocols (UDS, BAP).
We realize the integration of apps into the car via the vehicle manufacturers' own systems or standard solutions based on Android Auto, Car Play or Mirror Link. This, for example, gives us optimum social media connectivity.
Many applications require a cloud connection in order to offer cross-user services. Here we rely on our own backend server based on a PostgreSQL database. The external connection for use on smartphones or websites can be realized with REST web services via HTTPS-protocol and Tomcat web server. Frameworks such as (for example) Spring support implementation and abstraction in Java.
We are specialists in dealing with the different interfaces of smartphone sensors (WLAN, Bluetooth, NFC, acceleration and inclination sensors, etc.) coupled with automobile bus systems, such as CAN or OBD. The focus here is on the use of interfaces down to the lower layers, to measure signal strength for example. We also offer fast, intelligent solutions to integrate your application into the vehicle (via Apple CarPlay, Android Car, Mirror Link or proprietary platforms).
We use the latest technologies for mobile, contactless payment via smartphone or wearables, e.g. at the entrance to a parking garage.
With Android, Apple and Samsung Pay based on NFC, we facilitate safe and convenient means of payment by smartphone or smartwatch.
By integrating various applications, personalized vehicle settings can be combined and assigned independently of the model. This allows simple and easy personalization for the user. Functions on demand, over the air updates and account-related vehicle performance are also possible when user data is stored in central databases.
We have extensive experience in standardization processes in the automotive industry and know which standards shape the products of tomorrow.
We have a network to the most important decision makers in the standardization working groups and committees. These include, for example, the working groups for inductive charging of electric vehicles, residual current devices for e-mobility and the DIN office for electric mobility.
Through active participation in standards bodies, we set the guiding principles for future applications and shape the technologies of tomorrow. For example, we are represented in the DKE and on the Standards Committee for the communication interface from the vehicle to the power network.
